Upright "U" filed with bamboo, with Slate Webbing

This piece will probably stand about 5-6 feet tall, from floor to tips of the bamboo branches. The focus here is the contrast between the comforting fit of the slate (Convergence), and the sporadic splaying of the bamboo branches (Divergence). The tips of the bamboo converge by gestalt in the negative space, adding a charge to the energy surrounding the piece. There should be a desire for the viewer to visually pull the upight bamboo ends together to complete the loop.
